About the Author:
Bill Stoneking is a professional Information Technology Consultant, former U.S. Marine and former public office holder as a legislative adviser, appointed to two successive terms of office. At the age of 18 years old he was commended by the Village of Riverside Illinois and Meritoriously Masted by the United States Marine Corps for physically interjecting himself into a potentially life threatening situation in which he assisted in apprehending a fleeing felon.
The author is also the son of the late William A. Stoneking Sr., who too wore the Uniform of the United States Marines for this country during this country's time of greatest need, World War II in the South Pacific. The elder Stoneking served as one of the Elite Carlson's Raiders.
The Author is also the grandson of the late John Cordell Stoneking of Macomb, Illinois.
A loving father and grandfather, John C. Stoneking was an estute and hard nosed businessman who dined with the Washington Elite. Having shared his birthday dinner with the late President Richard M. Nixon, he also shared time with such influential Senators such as Barry Goldwater and Everret McKinley Dirksen. John Stoneking delivered the Eulogy for the Late Senator Dirksen at his funeral in Sept. 1969.
